As an Oldie now - in the 60's & early 70's we still had a Tin Lizzy in our park - cast iron frame & 4 supporting rods from its top axle, and a boat-shaped keel - (Think of the Pirate Galleon rides at funfairs which swing back and forth getting higher.) - 4-6 of us could sit using the handles on it - while on the ends there was 2 other seats . . . Never used as seats though - as these were where the older lads stood on them and made the swing really swing . . . only the most daring younger teens (m&f) would join them on it - as they could give it the power to do full 180 degree spins on it while the teens had just enough strength to hold on with their hands and legs . . . Not sure if it was eventually a Health & Safety matter by the 80's - or if someone official actually saw it do a full spin around then? But sad to say it then suddenly disappeared from the park - much to the sadness of the upcoming generations who had all heard about it from brothers, sisters, etc . . . Things that made you fear something can also lead you to having a stronger will, better judgement of danger (as in a better personal assessment of your own risk taking) - climbing, jumping, even some other childhood games . . . But sadly it all went to hell with H&S laws - now nothing which can do that is allowed basically - so how can kids learn these days without anything to show them .how to conquer such fears until they're literally an adult now . . . ???? - (Maybe a fear of upcoming debt ahead is all there's left?)

I love how this track sets the scene with sounds and words connected to why we’re all so mad, then switches to the calm of just breathing in the air, and not being afraid to care. Superb track, from an album I breathed in countless times in my youth, and still never tire of listening to.

I couldn't live in a basement. I need natural light. When my sister and I were looking for a house to rent, we got one with three bedrooms. She got the bigger bedroom and I got the two smaller ones, the third being my study. Until I suffered sepsis and became disabled, I would spend most of my free time in the study, writing. Now, I am living downstairs while I relearn walking. I really miss my study. I used to take a tray of tea and biscuits up there and look out over my beautiful garden. It was Paradise.

We very rarely invite people into our houses. We tend to keep those private. I would love a house with a decent old cellar, but I wouldn't use it for entertaining. I would probably use it for storing mh thousands of books.

Microwaves are only 60 percent effective vs a kettle at boiling water . Two same amounts 600mls of water ,boiled at 800w each , to 100 c microwave 8 and a half minutes . Kettle 4 mins and 20 secs . Plus to boil water in microwave, you need to stir every , 1 to 2 mins , otherwise it'll super heat . Heck a pan with spout pour and glass lid is more efficient than a microwave, used on stove top .

Lee & Perrins is the only true Worcestershire sauce, it's creation was their happy accident. It's basically a spicy fermented fish sauce, L&P were trying to replicate curry flavours and failed so the first batch ended up being forgotten in storage then was discovered a couple of years later which upon tasting was delicious. Add it to any savoury recipe, your taste buds will thank you because it's loaded with natural MSG from the anchovies it's made from. It has to be Lee & Perrins, accept no fakes.

I learned how to play by playing on the remains of bombed out houses, long before I ever got to go to the bigger kids park, stone or concrete ground, wooden swings, The Witches Hat, yes that could be dangerous, monkey bars, etc etc oh and huge trees surrounding the park as if any kid isn't going to try climbing them... no broken bones, no scars or missing teeth skinned knees and hands yes, rope burns yes.. I'm 72 now and 4 years ago I went climbing mountains in Wales, still climb ladders ford streams hike in the woods with the dog.. Tough old bird thanks to being raised to give everything a go and conquer things before I grew to be afraid of them.. Kids have no fear.. Parents die a thousand deaths daily 🤣

I'm surprised that cheques (or checks as the Americans spell them) are still so used to pay for goods and services. I'm sure there's a reason, but on this side of the pond, they're practically gone. In some European countries, they've been gone for years.

The footpaths aren't just for tourist areas. We have one that has literally been used for thousands of years because one large row of fields has been left between two roads. So you will literally see mothers carrying their baby and pushchair over styles, they're like little parts made to climb over. And people passing will stop and help her. They're super useful. 😂 I like near to one of the pride and prejudice houses and we have LOTS of beautiful places around us. Also they keep talking about restaurants and showing pubs. 🤦‍♀️ THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. 🤦‍♀️🙅‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤣 A pub has always been the communities living room. It's made for you to spend hours and hours socialising and just relaxing together everyday. They have barmaids. NOT servers. You make conversation with them ask how their day is. They'll tell you ALL the local gossip and where to go where to eat or where to avoid. The first place we go to in a new place IS the pub. That tells us what we're REALLY dealing with in that area. 😂 Another funny thing for black Americans is you will tend to receive a warmer welcome than white Americans. The reason Americans aren't like is because the white Americans were assholes during ww2 and that has NOT been forgiven OR forgotten. 😂 Many puns STILL have signs up saying no white Americans black GIs ONLY. 😂 Because the white Americans tried to force segregation here and we REFUSED. We didn't spend trillions on ending slavery to bow down and be forced into segregating. Our king basically told the American government go fnck yourself. Which is why America took so long to send troops. Because they didn't want the black soldiers coming over and experiencing being an equal. Because then they might go home and demand to be equal. Which is exactly what happened. Their treatment, and the fact that MANY of the black soldiers took home a white British or Irish wife, DID lead to the civil rights fight. 😂 Something that is often ignored. Which is sad because it was the first time black Americans felt like free equals. Every Brit has a randy grandpa who married someone of a different race because of our navy sailing the world. So EVERYONE is a quarter something 😂 we don't even count it till it's 50/50. That's why it was so strange, and dumb, to pretend that Meghan markle was black. I'm as mixed as her and I'm just seen as white British. 😂 Also British factory workers refused to use slave cotton from America and there's actually family's who are STILL living in poverty from that choice and never managed to get back up. It crushed our factories AND cost us personally to be moral. But NO price was ever too much. You would really enjoy a holiday here. But DON'T just stick to London. London is our LA. They DON'T represent us. 😂 I HIGHLY recommend travelling around the Cotswolds and Shakespeare country, Derbyshire, the lakes, and Whitley bay Newcastle are all beautiful places to visit. Also you absolutely DO need a car. It's cute using busses and trains the first time but it's very inconvenient and it DOES get expensive. Yea you DON'T want a car if you're mainly in London. But EVERYWHERE Else you DEFINITELY need one. Many modern tourist places built in the last 10 or 20 years have public buses dropping you off near by but most of the older tourist places DON'T. And the train stations tend not to be near the attractions and you would need to get a taxi from the train station. We have trams in cities so they tend to stop at the tourist places. But anything outside a city or town NEEDS a car. You can drive from the bottom of Cornwall to the top of Scotland in just a day or two so you can visit ANYWHERE in Britain 🇬🇧 while on a two week holiday here. Most places only need a day or two and then you can move up to the next town. I highly recommend doing that instead of two weeks in London or any one place. Because YOU WILL run out of things to do and you won't actually get to see the country. I HATE hearing tourists say they've been to Britain but only spent time in London b☠️🤡☠️🤦‍♀️🙅‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤣 if you want to make it clear you're not the typical American then don't zoom through historical buildings just taking pictures and paying no attention. We HATE the Americans who just come to get pictures in the spots movies were filmed and ignore everything else. You can spend ALL day going through the old stately homes and we hate seeing Americans run through in 10 minutes taking pictures and not paying attention to anything. They literally spend an hour in the cafes taking pictures and 10 minutes in these incredible beautiful homes. We have little signs everywhere explaining everything so you can do your own tours and they don't even read ONE. It's a running joke that we've NEVER met an American who can read. 😂 Because they DON'T EVER read the signs in any of the homes or even in the museums. They'll ask staff a question and staff will tell them you're literally stood Infront of the damn explainion! And they will say well can you not just explain it and tell us... That's your job. ☠️🤦‍♀️🤯🙅‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤣 Staff know it's going to be a rough day if they have tour buses of Americans. It's dreaded. Because they're always so loud for absolutely NO reason. They'll shout across the damn buildings to each other. At least the chinese groups only have to be watched to make sure nobody goes to the bathroom on the floor. They don't leave you with migraines and asking what the fnck just happened. 😂 For some reason Americans think they're always superior and are VERY patronising about our country so yea they're NOT loved. 😂 Also the things America does better than us are .. having the right to free speech, though our football game chanting is much crazier than y'all have 😂 you have the right to self defence and we DON'T the police told a woman if she used a knife to protect herself from the man raping her in her own home SHE would have gone to prison for 10 years. Oh but they COULDN'T convict the serial rapist who confessed. We don't have ANY right to self defence! They literally expect YOU to just let the attacker KILL YOU. We also how TERRIBLE healthcare that doesn't offer 1% of what Americans get. And Americans don't realise how stupidly high our taxes are. You will be paying over half in taxes. Even on a lower wage. And we have 20% VAT tax on EVERYTHING you buy. It's ridiculous and destroys business and stops people being able to start new businesses. I absolutely love my country but I wish we still had our rights. So please educate yourselves Americans before they destroy your country like they have ours. Everything we've gone through is exactly what you will go through in a decade or two. I would LOVE to see the HORROR on ana Americans face if they saw our hospitals. 😂 They'll make the city ones LOOK modern on the outside... Then you get inside and realise how little they do Vs American hospitals. You can get things like an MRI or a CT scan on same day or within a week at the MOST. We can have to wait MONTHS or even YEARS. And we pay FAR more over our ENTIRE LIFE for healthcare than Americans would pay on health insurance! We also don't have ANY way to get justice when they screw up or when there's serious medical negligence. EVERYONE I know who has died died of medical negligence. And not one got justice. They straight up murdered my friends baby and HAD to pay her out. She got just under 20k! That's IT. For them straight up murdering her new born baby! Americans don't understand how many safeguard's are protecting them and they don't understand how many ways they have to get justice. We don't have ANY of that. You WILL lose all of those rights and destroy your healthcare if you fall for the lies they're telling you to destroy the healthcare system. They're literally just doing so the elites can pocket more money. And so they can control who lives and dies. We have to write letters BEGGING for treatment and explaining why we're worthy and deserve treatment. They literally sentence people, of ALL age's to death. Including baby's and children. We CONSTANTLY have fundraisers to send sick people to America to save their life. You also don't EVER see a story of a Brit waking up after YEARS of being in a coma because they get 3 days and that's IT. If the family refuse to pull the plug the drs just get a judge who will just rubber stamp it and it will forcibly be turned off if needed. They've even lied to family's to get them out the room and turned it off behind their backs and left the person to die alone. They can also refuse to give patients food or water for DAYS to force them to die. So DO NOT get in an accident or do anything that will land you in critical condition because YOU WON'T BE ALLOWED TO BE TRANSPORTED HOME UNTIL YOU'RE DEAD! Even if you have medical transfers sorted and a medical transport helicopter and their team on the roof waiting to take you. So don't do ANYTHING dangerous. The day the NHS dies will be the greatest day in the history of my country. Nothing destroys more lives and kills more people than the NHS and socialised healthcare!

All your lives in America you are brought up eating Fake Food. In the UK all our Ingredients are Natual Colouring and Flavouring. In America it Substitutes and Artificial Colouring and Chemical Flavouring. When you taste the real thing some Americans don't like it. That is the problem with being Brain Washed.

No! I'm sorry but Hershey's is carp. They paid Politicians to Ban British Chocolate and Snacks from America. I am also sorry to tell you ALL American Food is Poisoned. Here is one example...Chips, or as Americans call them, Frenchfries only has Two Ingredients, Potatoes and Oil for Frying. Salt, Vinegar, Ketchup can be added when they are ready for eating. Watch the Insider Food Video, 'US McDonalds VS UK McDonalds'. You won't believe all the Crap they used in America, even Artificial Colouring and Flavouring. KFC is even worse. Take away all that garbage they use and your Food would be a great deal cheaper. If you ever see Cadbury Chocolate on sale in America check the back of the packet. If it says 'Hershey's' you will know it is Fake so don't buy it.

Hershey’s add a chemical to improve the shelf life that makes it taste sour ( like off milk). That’s why people say it tastes like sick. Also it is more waxy.
